Project Create (Music)
I have really enjoyed learning to play the Ukulele this year and having the chance to perform to my parents - Year 4 Pupil
Our Create Projects are taught in the summer term and carefully integrate Music, Art and Design and Design and Technology.
Music Intent
Music is a powerful and unique form of communication that can impact the way we feel, think and act. The curriculum is designed to integrate music in a way that enables children to identify the complexities of music through analysis of a wide range of genres from different musical and cultural perspectives.
We want to promote self-confidence and creativity and develop aspiring musicians that are able to develop an expressive and reflective appreciation of music. We provide opportunities for all children to explore, create, play, compose and perform music in a variety of contexts.
In addition to teaching music through Project Create, children also take part in weekly singing lessons. Children in Year 4 also take part in whole class music tuition and learn the Ukulele.
